How do you guys like the vertical bike mounts on one door? Any problems operating the door or any other issues?

Hi Josh. I have mixed feelings about it. It was designed and installed by Rack Attack in Golden CO. The original implementation had the towers and crossbars on the upper section of the door as seen in the picture, which created too much leverage and eventually the rack separated from the door. Actually, shortly after this picture was taken. They were really good about redesigning and repairing it, with the lower towers mounted down near the license plate, but still with out obscuring it. It's nice because it keeps the departure angle really high and we can open the door easily, but I don't love all the weight it puts on the door when it's open. And it would be easier to keep the bikes clean and dry if they were on a conventional rack. At the end of the day I wish I spent the extra money for a hitch, Z-extension-thingy and rack.
