To me it looks like you are actually at Main Cliff Proper/Center and you are on the 5.8+ called Gold Digger? Was there a insecure step right at the top?

I don't recall any insecure step. There was odd smearing in the middle with spaced out bolts. It zigzagged a little bit too. Its hard to say if it concurs with the photos of Gold Digger on mp.com

In any case I really didn't think we wandered so far to the right. If so, we were way off from where we thought we were.

Thanks a lot for your help

Looks to me like he is further right, possibly on Charity Case. That is the Iron Man wall of the Main Cliff all off to the left and the Freebird buttress straight above the rope.

Unless it was Gold Digger into the finish of Goldbug, I think it's pretty likely that you were even further to the right - maybe Charity Case?

Yup, Charity Case, about 1000 ft to the right off route :)) At least you weren't up at the Summit Cliff looking for the 5.8 Crag. I've seen that before, haha.

Thank everyone for your input. Indeed we were way off. My ego feels a lot better as I did find it quite difficult for a 5.6 :D

Chris was cleaning off some stuff in that area last week. I wouldn't be surprised if this was it. I'm sure he'll post information.

Does anybody know which route this is? We thought it was Rainbow but were unsure. It felt harder than 5.6 and doesn't concur with the photos of that route. All input is appreciated. Thanks in advance.
