Smoke Hole Canyon on Facebok
Trail work and anchor replacement planned for the Guide Walls area of Smoke Hole Canyon.
We'll be camped at Thorn Springs Campground on Friday and Saturday nights, then meet the rest of the volunteers and park extra vehicles in the commuter parking lot at the end of Reed Creek Road, just south of Upper Tract, WV. We'll hand out breakfast burritos and hot coffee before heading down into the canyon for a morning of stewardship, before running up a few of the excellent lines, new and old, to be found at this crag.
Saturday night, volunteers are invited to join us in the campsite at Thorn Spring Campground, 3 miles south of Franklin, to share a meal, sip a few cold beverages, and get to know some of your fellow Smoke Hole enthusiasts.
Sunday will basically be a repeat of Saturday, with hot grub and coffee available, rendezvous at Reed Creek, and another day of trail work and climbing, before we all head home for the beginning of the work week.
