Hey there fellow climbers, I was wondering if anyone knows any good zones in Colorado to do some deep water soloing. It looks like a blast and I cant find any info on any areas in the state where you can do this. Thanks.

Independence pass is the only spot I've ever hear of, and it's somewhat limited. There aren't a whole lot of super deep rivers here, all the lakes in the mountains will give you hypothermia if you jump in them, and the reservoirs don't seem to have many walls right on the water. I'm sure there are some places no one really knows about, or that I don't know about, but my guess is not many.

Next to the tunnel in the Poudre Canyon (by the Palace) always looked attractive. But that water is damn cold.
When the water is high enough in Horsetooth Res, the cliffs next to the dam by Duncan's Ridge are doable. Be careful though, many people have been arrested here.

Dude, the Ouray box canyon...I always wanted to DWS there.

Do some research on Fremont Canyon in Wyoming.

Me and my buddys found this in Independence Pass, the climbings pretty rad. Theres more to be done around the pool just watch out for the coke addicted Aspen hipsters who like hang around the area.

What about the pool at Cascade Canyon near Durango...small and I'm not sure how deep the water gets, but could be a spot.

Cascade, not really. A little at baker's bridge, some limited potential at Navajo res. and McPhee Res. Colorado's not really the best place for that though...

I've seen pictures of people cliff jumping off of nice steep cliffs around blue lake in the indian peaks but have never gone to see my self. probably freezing cold in the summer

I got some good climbs in at Horsetooth this summer, but like Tom R said, be careful of the cozzers. The 3rd damn to the north (there's a small pullout right before the dam) has some good stuff to. Good DWS seems to depend on the water levels, and Horsetooth was higher than I have seen it in years. Green Mountain Reservoir is the same way.

Or go here. The water is warm and deep.

Check out the boulders around the alpine lakes on Mt. Massive, just outside of Leadville.

Gross Resivoir in Boulder has some DWS, but is best known for its cliff jumping.

PS-The deep water soloing scene in Colorado is out of commission for the next 6 months, by the way. The dishes are done, man.

See you in June

Lake Powell. West side of the lake's main channel, near Indian Creek. No, not that Indian Creek. The Indian Creek part of Lake Powell.
