Im trying to come up with ways to train and develop endurance away from the gym and crag. I've got a few ideas but would like to hear from others what has worked for them.
There are probably some creative approaches I havent thought of.

You know....the pokey pokey.

I find it hard to train that kind of endurance away from the crag.

General exercise and weightlifting at home has helped me. I use a pull-up bar, hangboard, kettlebells and dumbells. Full body workouts for 45 minutes 3-4 days a week. You can do a lot of variety with little equipment. I don't train for endurance specifically, but I've seen improvements in my climbing either way.

What do you think about making a dedicated night to work out on my wall and hangboard? Now that the gym is closed I've been thinking of having a small group climbing night at my house. I just got a whole bunch of new holds and would love for everyone to set their own problems also to keep the climbing diverse.

Yes!!! Great call Jon. Your wall is definitely wide enough to train endurance, and I think folks would love a weekly night of plastic at your pad.Do it! Im there for sure.

Im still interested in hearing about at home endurance training. Interesting how easy it is to think of ways to train power at home, vs endurance.

Tuesday nights. The wall usually offers about 8-12 moves and the new holds I got are really non positive so I'm guessing we should be able to set problems up to V6 or possible V7.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
