Hey, this is the FREE gear thread...

That being said, if I were in Denver I would trade a couple nice 6ers for those skis. Maybe my homie can come thru for me.

Speaking of FREE gear:
I have a BD half dome helmet available in NH for free, the only issue being that white gas has liquified some of the epp foam in it. While it is no longer a rock smashing tank, you could definitely strap it to your friends head and take them top roping. I also have a BD boulder pad case with no foam in it. Totally available as well - just add foam!

Is this the old BD SPOT? I owned one, then sold it. Sure wish I hadn't. If you getting rid of a SPOT, count me in.

Kara, before the wolves are set upon you, I thought I'd warn you.

This thread is meant for folks to offer free gear, not to ask for it.. People asking for free stuff should do so in their own thread.

Ok, ok before world war three starts because Kara asked for gear, lets hear her out guys. (Kudo's Jon Zucco) I for one am curious about what kind of project she has cooking here. You need old used draws, but not for holding anyone.

Idea #1, she plans to murder her husband/boyfriend using compromised gear she got for free off the internet.
Idea #2, she's an artist and is creating a climbing related sculpture.
Idea #3, she hopes to resell them to the neighbor down the street who is getting into climbing and wouldn't know the difference between old and new gear.
Idea #4, trendy Christmas Tree ornaments at REI?
Idea #5, new age way to gauge out ear lobes?
Idea #6, Nunchuck Ninja training, self defense with materials you already have near you.

Alright Kara, cough it up. What are you going to do with old used quick draws?

Kara, not your fault. It has gotten old hearing the haters.

Can an admin start an ISO Free Shit thread and STICKY it so we can stop beating this poor dead horse?!?

Clint,
did you check the user profile or try to verify any thing about "Kara"?
An - In Search Of - thread, A page with a "sticky" is a very good idea !
No one took any action against "Ms.Ashcraft" but it is a dead horse !

iIMHO

Free gear should go to climbers!
Climbers who can verify that they are at least interested In being climbers or that have a presence as a climber here,
one post asking for free gear is worthy of flogging a bit.
If some ones' join date coincides with a Free gear or in search of request, make sure that that person is a climber or wants to try climbing. Given that there are gyms and meet-up groups and friendly folks willing to help new to the game people out, here & on the beginners thread,

And Kevinhansen, don't delete needed, well written, posts :-)

I AM HIGHLY OFFENDED BY THIS!! Couldn't you have been more respectful and said poverty stricken, expired, Equine American? Why does it got to be a poor dead horse? Horses are people too you know! The nerve of some people.

For what its worth, I too think a sticky ISOFS thread is a very good idea.

I figured why say the same thing others have already said. But thanks for the complement.

@ Kara... I've noticed all your posts have been deleted. I too meant no offence.
You were probably thinking "so what! I asked for free gear, what's the big deal?"
You were totally right, your post was really not a big deal. A big deal is when you confuse the shampoo with the toothpaste, a big deal is switching your wife's name with your ex-girlfriend's name, a big deal putting the gas where the oil goes and the oil where the gas goes. Try going to the Library and re-selving a book in the wrong place. The librarian isn't offended, just annoyed. There was a time on this thread where there were more requests for free gear than any other kind of post. Now it seems like there are more posts about keeping a free gear thread than any other kind of post.
What is to be done? Perhaps the best solution is a sticky ISOFS thread. Who knows. Lest we forget, this is the internet.
Good luck on finding used old draws. (I still want to know what you have planned for them.) The mystery continues.

I believe that I need to check in on the project more often. . .
Not that I have the time that it takes, but I missed all sorts of stuff and then try to catch up
Some times responding so off topic as to appear . . ??. . . .drunk?
Well I rarely if ever drink, bring 'round the sticky I'm usually in although modern cheer lays me out...
So for free gear or something from this century, a new belay device from the 80s or for real a two holed two slotted worn out ? Is it the Reverso that gets the highest marks?
I need to come to the project for more than the run of the mill where to climb what in JTree, or Teluride, what's the send count on the old and who's who in the New this season.
Sorry to drift the thread but
No Big Deal right?
Cheers
Mike

Ocean Earth snow pants size large (appx 36") for free to a good home. Someone in fam bought these, never wore them, and passed them on to my skinny ass. Methinks they were Costco purchased. Prob not waterproof, unsure about any DWR. Leg gaitor thingies, durable feeling, fuzzy inside might feel good while freeballin'. ShOUT!

$10 should cover paypal and shipping, not sure what flat rate is.
