Hi folks,

I was camping out at site #13 at Creek Pasture campground in indian creek the week of 10/19-10/23.

I left camp on 10/21 for the day intending to return, but something came up and I wasn't able to come back until 10/28. Upon returning my red Hilleberg Anjan 3 tent was gone -- no longer at the site.

From talking to the folks who were camping there, they said when they camped there my tent was still there (they just camped to the side) but in the morning when they woke up the tent was gone / had been taken.

If you picked up the tent thinking it was abandoned, or know who I should get in touch with, please let me know at (512) 775 5637! I'll happily pay shipping costs etc to have the tent returned, it's a bummer to come back to camp and see your nice tent stolen :(

You abandoned your nice tent in one of the most popular campgrounds in desert for an entire week?

Thanks for the constructive comment! Something came up and I wasn't able to get back to pick up the tent as I would have liked. This is a long shot indeed, but hey, better to try than not.

i gotta say man... it sucks but a lot of shitty behavior is taking off in the creek. my friends this year had their car broken into, windows smashed.
I don't leave camp with out locking everything down now. every food bin table chair and especially my yeti style cooler. I don't want to replace it. i had cams stolen two years ago as well. so i hope you get your tent back but hope is a poor shelter.

additionally, tentsites are at an amazing premium. leaving anything unsupervised for a week there is license to have it disappear just because people want the spot. it may have been naive to not see that...

Yeah, agreed: I don't dispute any of your points :)

For the record I do think it's wack and if I caught the person I would take my valley giant and a bag of bolts to provide an asswhooping... I am sorry you got hosed

Good luck with the tent, I had a whole tote full of my cooking supplies stolen from creek pasture last year... I wish this was less common.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
