Ricardo belaying from the bottom of the pinnacle. We were going to climb the Bishop's Scepter on Apache Peak. Unfortunately, I woke up in Evergreen 10 minutes before I was supposed to meet Ricardo in Boulder. We headed for Apache and the Kasparov Traverse anyway, but it was getting late and the weather was setting in when we were at the start of the traverse, so we bailed. However, we weren't going to descend without climbing something! Thus, the pinnacle. Conquistadors of the insignificant!
We climbed up the arête that separates the sun from the shade in the center of the picture. The ridge to the right leads up to the summit of Peak 12,878.
