Did you guys approach this notch from the north side or the south side? When I scrambled the ridge a couple weeks ago, I traversed across the blocky ledge/face seen here on the south side and definitely thought that felt cruxier than the slab immediately after this. Everyone seems to talk about that slab being the crux, so I feel like I might've made the ridge approaching that slab tougher than it needed to be....

Anton, we arrived at this notch via the north side. We were surprised to find a fairly well-cairned route over there. The rock was good, the climbing secure 4th & low 5th class. This part felt several grades easier than the slab, so it's probably considerably easier than the way you went on the south side.
