Oh man what a bummer! He was young too..19 :(
We almost climbed there this weekend but opted for Crawfad Cyn and Snow Cyn instead... wonder if it was at the graveside matter wall or rappelling wall?

So sad to hear this. News says it happened just outside of town and 200 feet from the road. May have been the bowling alley. condolences to friends and family

Could you find out specific info pertaining to the crag, route, what the climber was doing, etc?

Sad to hear this. There was a rappelling accident which resulted in Graveside Matter wall being named, but I think this is the first climbing death.

Condolences.

The only news is that it happened at Cedar Canyon. He fell 20-30 feet which isn't hard to do trad climbing although most of the routes over there are sport.

From some of the search and rescue photos, it appears as thought this happened on the west side of the "bowling alley." This is the side that faces Cedar City. Other than the buttress that faces the road down low, I'm not familiar of the routes up there.
