Historical Note: Fred Beckey and Layton Kor actually climbed this route during their 1961 ascent of "The Hook". "The Climber's Schoolroom" was not climbed until 1964.

Interesting bit of historical knowledge! Too bad you had to spray your guidebook author SPAM all over it.

Well, if you're that anal about these things. The first pitch of Schoolroom has been grandfathered in since the 60's & 70's because the original first two pitches of the Hook being rated 5.6 is more in line (difficulty wise) with the rest of Schoolroom. In the old shoes, the crux of the Hook was much harder.

The information about the dates of the first ascents is old news, it's been known for decades. It's in most of the previous guidebooks.
