Description
North East Creek covers a large area comprised of riparian/desert land that runs east/west across Nine Mile Hill. Aside from East Creek, North East Creek is the only perennial water source in the Nine Mile Hill area.
It begins adjacent to the Dave Loves Donna Area and winds west toward the far canyon wall. Water is abundant with the exception of the deep part of summer, and vegetation can be thick and impenetrable. During winter, the creek can freeze making easier access. Overall, there is an astounding number of large, high quality boulders.

Getting There
Accessing the area is dependent on mode of travel and/or section being visited.
The far west end of the area is best accessed by either the four wheel drive road that begins at the Texas Boulder Area down canyon or by walking from the Pool of Plenty by the foot path that parallels the private property. The walk from the Pool of Plenty is anywhere from 1 to 2 miles one way depending on the parking location. I haven't done the four wheel drive route in a vehicle, but I have walked it, and it requires a high-clearance vehicle, preferably with 4WD.
The central and east areas are best accessed by parking at the Dave Loves Donna Area and heading directly west down the hill toward East Creek.
