I've been wanting to do this climb, but the picture makes it look like a wide crack -- I'm looking more for a thin tips and stemming experience. Is this wideness just deceptive lighting?

Hi Jon,
lower 2/3 is thin crux, then it has an interesting transition to wide hands. I would recommend Sinsemilla 10c, Mr. Clean and Jihad- both nice 11a's that are thin. picture is from Bobs your uncle, one of my favorite 11a's.

Maybe we will see you out there, it's our dry zone in the spring and fall. I would like to hear what you think of them. The basalt takes an acquired taste, choss, but one learns to cope with it. Most ratings are way off at Vantage. Mr Clean is probably 10c. Bob's is 11a for 2 moves, Jihad is more sustained, but probably 10d. Crossing the Delaware is another good route.
