If you're taking the crossover descent, you do NOT want to repel from this anchor. Instead, look up for cairns and traverse left a ways, out of the gully, to reach another anchor that faces north. This is the easiest way to reach the crossover descent.

Good beta, thanks! Where were you when we needed you? Yea, we kept looking over that way thinking there could be a possibility for a cleaner descent over there. The gully ended up working out fine though, thankfully. Unfortunately we didn't quite make it to the last of the trail in the trees before dark, which made the last of the descent a huge pain. Someone should put a few reflective paint dots on a couple trees at that trail access. That'd be awesome!
