looking for climber parents..

My wife and I recently moved to the PNW (Tacoma WA) and we are looking for climbing partners. We have a 20 month old boy, so other parents with a similar aged young kid would be perfect to team up with and get some climbing in. Both competent and experienced climbers, 15 years or so of experience, prefer trad but sport and bouldering are fun too. Lead 10ish off the couch, and harder when in shape.

Lots of views apparently, but we still seem to be looking.. I have to believe that there are a bunch of climber parents out there looking for experienced and competent partners to get out with.. let us know.

Chris-
Are you in Bakersfield? I don't get out much, and my kids are a little older, but let me know.

Howdy! Single dad with a 7 year old kiddo. Been gym climbing (mostly bouldering) for 2+ years. We've been outside a couple times and would love to tag along for some adventures. Trying to get out as much possible this year as the weather improves. My son is really awesome with smaller kids. Both of us are super stoked to climb as much as possible but have trouble finding climbing buddies.
We are in Seattle but down for road trips anywhere within a days drive.

Cheers!

Its a good weekend for something like vantage.. would be interested in getting out there if possible, for one or both days.

You seem to be at or near the age where the parental cord can be cut.. Happy to adopt, will provide extensive fatherly advice and gifts of ramen and socks at the holidays in exchange for extensive babysitting of your little brother. Mom and I would like to get some climbing done.. ;-)

lol. Good answer. As long as I can live at home and bring said little brother bouldering while baby sitting it'll be all good. ;)

Hey, I would love to get out with you guys! I have a 2 year old little dude and would love to meet some more climbing parents. I currently live in Leavenworth but am relocating home to Seattle in April. I'm not nearly as experienced as you but am always down for some adventure. :)

Hello,
My wife and I have a 4 and 5 yr old have been climbing for just under 10 years. We have the same obstacle and have been climbing through it in most of the climbing areas around Seattle over the past couple years. We try to get to Vantage, Index, Leavenworth, exit 32 and 38, and even got out to Squamish last year. It sounds like you are in the same type situation we are in. I am always looking for people to climb with and would be able to help you and your wife with that next tick on your list. Let me know when you are going next. I might steal away on Tuesday this week or Wednesday. I want to go with one partner to Index. If you or anyone else that reads this is interested, Lets Climb!!

I think that we should all try to coordinate something here!
