Despite its appearance this is NOT a taper bolt. This is a 5 peice rawl bolt that has rusted into the shape you see.

Huh? No way that bolt "rusted" into that taper. Something smells fishy here.
How about another photo with better focus and/or higher resolution?

Nothing fishy here, welcome to red river gorge. Ive got 8 more bolts from the route, all 1/2'' rawl 5 peice bolts, another from the same route has a big chunk rusted right out of the side of it. This crag as well as the Bob Marley cave are known for having extremely high salt content in the rock, which is extremely corrosive to the carbon steel.
