Was thinking I'd like a light fleecy kind of hoody to wear through the fall here in the gunks. I'd bring a separate rain jacket if rain were expected. |

Patagonia R1? I dig it. |

You don't even have to get children in Vietnam to sew it for you .made right here in Pb. But if spending $69.00 instead of $300 is gonna put the hurt on your self-concept I'd go with the BD or Patagucci. |

Never been to the Gunks, but this NW Alpine Black Spider Hoody is my go to "light fleecy kind of hoody" |

Check out The mountain hardwear desna hoodie. It works perfectly for me. I'm amazed with its breathability and warmth. Doesn't seem to block much wind though. |

I ran across some mentions of the Patagonia Piton Hoody...looks like a very similar weight to the R1, but more windproof...does anyone have experience with the Piton? |
