Description Suggest change

This is a shaded, large, cylindrical, brick structure surrounded by parkland. It used to be used for climbing practice in the form of long traverses. The bricks were old and irregular, often sticking out, providing large (though often slippery) holds.

This is posted for historical purposes only. Do not climb here.

Getting There Suggest change

Find Volunteer Park on Capital Hill in Seattle. Go to the southern end, look for the brick tower, and see the history.
