The approach drawn on this photo is not the one I've taken either time to gain the Armadillo and seems unnecessarily long and roundabout.
Instead, climb up talus slope in right-third of photo until a very prominent ledge system is gained beneath a steep to overhanging headwall. Follow ledge left (east) along base of this headwall for maybe 150-200 meters until an obvious short handcrack is easily gained cutting back up to right through headwall. This is short 5th class (probably one move of 5.7) and a short rope belay is recommended as the exposure is 'problematic' if you fall.
