Description
Also known as the Hemet bouldering area. Simpson Park is a wilderness park in the southern foothills of Hemet that is littered with boulders that resemble the rock quality and texture of Joshua Tree. Hemet can get very hot during the summer months but evenings can be pleasant enough, if not, then any other time of year is fine; be wary of rattlesnakes in the area.
There are many established climbs from long time local climbers and this area is considered more of a locals only for knowing the area and routes. If your coming to the area, find a local to help out and maybe get a peak at the underground guide book.

Getting There
South of Hemet High School on Stanford and Crest take Vista Del Valle into the hills up a windy road until you reach the gate for Simpson Park. Parking for most of the climbing would be at the gate and various points up the road into the park up to the very top near the bathrooms. Access to the southern portion can be made from State St and Domenigoni Pkwy by heading east on Gibble Road.
