There is a semi obscure crag called Coyote Rocks near there. I just looked in the Falcon Tuolumne guide , pg. 8. The description says "0.8 miles from the porcupine creek trailhead" . There are some pretty cool moderate routes there . It is neat orange colorful rock . I wouldn't really call it top rope or family friendly though as you have to walk uphill a bit to get there , and find the darn thing to begin with . Good luck .
Thank you, gentlemen. Coyote might be worth a little trek . I'm crossing my fingers the fire will not affect getting in the park via tioga pass. Yosemite creek campground is listed as closed today and that's rather close to porcupine.
I know of great high ball boulders and decent TR's in White Wolf area which is really close to Porcupine Flats. The rock in the area tends to be a bit grainy, but is still very high quality stone. Explore the area and just have fun. And as others have said if you really want to climb The Meadows are only about 20 minutes away!
