Every time I show up at Cathole I am secretly hoping someone has put bolted anchors at the top of most of the climbs.

The rock looks pretty fractured near the lip, a common problem at many of the trap rock cliffs. I am not sure you could even find a good spot for bolts. Even ten feet back would be better than beating the last of the poor trees to death though. They would have to be big glue-ins.

With a pry bar and hammer im sure I could find some solid rock for an anchor. Might just be down a layer ;-) Actually, the bush that has the anchor built through it looks to have some solid rock right behind it.
