How is the rock quality on the pillar to the left of Camelbak Crack, in this photo?

It's pretty good. Everything is a little loose and fragile in these sandstone parts but we looked at the formation on the left and it definitely looked worth exploring. Pretty low angle overall so would probably make for a nice 5.7 or 5.8 I'd say.

These little crags scattered above Ren Man definitely have some interesting and—from time to time—good rock. The main problem is the massive amounts of detritus that shower down on those below you when you scramble around.
