A long-overdue album of some of my favorite photos from my extended trip in the Cascades last summer. We climbed in a bunch of places from the Central Cascades up to Washington Pass. The highlight was getting on the mega-classic North Ridge of Mt. Stuart!

The killer North Ridge shot: looking up the famous slab preceding the route's crux, The Great Gendarme. We decided to bivy just below the slab because of foul weather (we traveled light on the bivy gear, too...), and topped out under the sun the next morning.

The best sunset in the mountains: after the storm finally cleared over Mt. Stuart, we were treated to the coolest light show I have even seen! The short distance between the low cloud ceiling and the horizon created a spectacular sunset to watch from our bivy.
