I have some BD Shrikes that I would like to convert to leashless. Has anyone tried to fit the Grivel Horn and Trigger on a BD Shrike or any other leashed BD tool?

In case anyone is wondering. I did end up putting the Grivel Horns on the BD Shrikes. I had to cut down some of the rubber sheathing and grind off a bit of the metal on the ends, but I was able to get the horns on. I am planning on climbing on them tomorrow to see how they work. They seem pretty solid.

So...how did these work out?

They worked out great! Still holding up strong with no sign of wear. It's a good cheap way to get a pair of leashless tools out of your old shrikes. They're a little heavy compared with the newer tools, but if you need a cheap way to get out onto the ice, I recommend it.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
