Fixing Mild Delamination From Leaving Shoes in Car

So I just had a pair of shoes resoled and picked them up on the way to the crag. Of course I then promptly forgot about them and left them in the car for a day and a half and now the sole appears to be delaminating a bit.

I brought the shoes inside and pressed the sole against the glue. Seems to sort of stick but I'm wondering if they'll come apart again once I get them out on hot rock. I thought about putting then in the freezer to "set" the glue but before I do anything crazy I thought I'd ask if anyone has any tips for this?

Freezer won't work I don't think. How hot was the car? Sure it wasn't a bad resole?

Not sure how hot it was inside the car. I'm in Joshua tree so it's ~70-80 degrees outside. I couldn't say for sure it wasn't a bad resole -- I just assumed user error since I left them in the car.

Use Barges Cement... Clean the exposed area with alcohol and let dry. Follow the directions on the tube (ie thin layer both sides and allow to dry). I then use masking tape to apply pressure to the area of repair. I stuff the shoe with newspaper to keep the shape and let dry overnight

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
