Second rappel off the back of the Third Flatiron. The main page says 3 rappels, but only two are necessary if you traverse left/NW 10ft on an exposed ledge from the eyebolt at the bottom of the first rappel. There are 2 anchors with chains around the corner that allow for a single rope rappel to the ground. There is a sign at the eyebolt and it does not lie!

Typical day on the rocks. Brittany knocks off another Flatiron. So many rocks, so little time left to bag them all.

Shade at noon (left) and 12:30 PM (right) on Dec. 11, '22. Note that the Standard East Face route is almost entirely in shade by noon this time of year (near solstice) & the descent to the north - looker's right- still has snow/ice from the Nov. 29 storm.
