What is the best detergent for climbing shoes/ ropes/ tech wear?

I like mint jelly on lamb chops, but don't have it very often.

I've really been stepping up my rappelling game. Rapped a 5.14 last weekend totally clean. Was sick! Used the ironed rope Aussie technique. Allowed me to not only spot my landing, but was also able to see the rope ends (as to not rap off them).

The ironed ropes were really key. I would def recommend ironing, but easy on the starch (it acts like Teflon running though the belay device). That said starching your rope also decreases the force applied to your top piece of gear in the event of a leader fall. This is expecially important on R rated routes or anywhere marginal gear must be relied upon. U can't argue with science.
