My husband broke his foot in K Canyon Sunday. Some wonderful people from Phoenix carry him out. In the confusion we may have left without our bouldering pad containing shoes, chalk etc. If you know that group, several guys and a gal named Laura, please help us retrieve our gear. maryt@azinvest.us This broken foot is rough and getting our gear back would be so rad. Thanks, Mary

I think your answer may be in the bottom comment of the Kelly Canyon main page: mountainproject.com/v/kelly…

Best of luck to your husbands recovery! It sounds like you'll get your gear back.

Care to elaborate how his foot broke? Maybe others could learn from it.

Thanks for the replies Jared and Red.
Jared I'm getting my stuff back thanks to you. And the guy who was kind enough to post that he had it.
Red he was topping out a problem and the top was sandy. He fell and landed beside the crash pad. I was at a different problem and heard it but didn't see it.
He did have a spotter who did help guide his fall, but he's 190 lbs and not much one can do with that much weight falling fast.
Also, he had 2 crash pads out but was letting me use the 3rd he usually uses on that problem. We agree that either I should have given him my pad or he should have climbed a different problem. Frustrating accident, but little tweaks would possibly have yielded a different outcome.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
