But not for long. With privatisation in the pipeline, the old Sea Kings will be retired and the air force/navy will cease to perform the rescues. It's supposed to remain free of charge for the injured, but time will tell how long that will last.

These rescues are free of any cost to the injured, as with later hospital care. The local Keswick Rescue Team do the ground work and the Royal Air Force do the air lifts.
