Description Suggest change

Quartzite, about 70' tall. Crag is predominantly top roped but there are a number of safe trad leads to be had as well. There is no fixed hardware and none is allowed.

Trail around the left of the rock face leads up to set up top ropes. Most set ups require static lines or long webbing to sling trees. There is also a scramble up the right side, but it is steeper.

This is private property. Be respectful. As of 2021, a $5 day pass is required to climb here. See the skihill’s webpage for details.

Getting There Suggest change

County Rd 553 south-southwest'ish from Marquette (can get onto 553 from US41 or we took McClellan south from US41/M28). Drive past the ski hill around the corner. There will be a round-dome shaped house on the left (east) side of the rd kinda tucked in the trees and a radio tower - turn left onto the dirt road immediately after the round house - park by the tower maintenance building or the next little parking area - obvious trail northeast off the 2nd parking area. - 5 min hike to base of rock
