Description
The climbing is east and west of the town of Truth or Consequences (often simply called "T or C") and not in the actual town. The T/C category is useful to distinguish the climbing from both the Socorro and Las Cruces climbing areas.
Much of the climbing is bolt protected climbing established in the past decade. Areas include:
Red Rock Arroyo: Rhyolite rock, mostly bolted moderate routes with camping and little to no approach. A high clearance vehicle is better.
Percha Creek: Andesite rock, mixed crack and bolted faces with a five minute approach. Park at the old bridge.
Caballo Lake: Huge limestone faces, mostly tall bolted routes with a moderate approach. A 4X4 vehicle is best for the rough roads.
