Oh heck yeah! I'll be there, even if I have to take a boat to do it! Love all you guys and miss you - it has been far too long!

CDOT says 93 between Golden and Boulder is open.

Tracy and I are out. After watching the news and seeing the pics on fb, it seems slightly dickish to attend a non emergency function and add to the apparent cluster.

But, we're not actually in Boulder so the advice to stay off the roads unless absolutely necessary might be over blown.

Any chance this event could be rescheduled for a drier date?

Eh half my road is under water. It's not necessarily that YOU need to stay off the roads, but they want the roads clear for emergency vehicles and not have more people creating emergencies out there.

Things are fine in East County presently, but I can't speak for in town.
So I called the Dark Horse and they seemed to think things were fine right there and they have plenty of people in there right now.

So I am headed in. If I run into a bad situation, I go back home.

No need to re-schedule. Just have another one later. We used to do it almost monthly, after all.

Yeah, the hour drive from Littleton is more committing.

i'm out.

The reports to stay off the roads are not overblown. I've been in Boulder today and even if you can find roads that are passable to get to the Dark Horse, the traffic won't be worth it. Hope to see you guys next time! Be safe out there.

edit to add: Tony hwy 52 and 119 are closed in spots as well as 95th south of Lookout (pertaining to east county).

Talked to the dark horse. They will remain open through the night and are still expecting us.

One of my climbing partners drove from Arvada to Boulder just now in 50 min. He said the roads are slowly draining.

Be safe out there.

FYI (Although I would like to attend...)

Boulder County Sheriff Joe Pelle requests that Boulder County residents stay inside and stay off the roads tonight and tomorrow. Conditions are dangerous, roads are impassable in many areas, schools, government offices, private businesses are closed. Give responders room to work and keep your self safe and alive by not trying to travel anywhere in the region unless it's absolutely necessary to do so.

That's north of my path... as I was coming from lafayette if I made it - another drop-of I had to do there.

But it sounds like a total Goat-F%#$.
I guess I'll try next time.

So when is next time?

I'm OK with giving space, but Pelle has lost it.
The Sherrif was at CU today warning the campus kids to shelter in place inside because it was so dangerous, and offered as proof that someone broke her ankle on a tarp playing like a slip and slide this AM.
Christ dude (Pelle), they're going to laugh at you harder than I did.

As much as I'd love to be there tonight, I'm going to bail due to the weather. Looking forward to another time!

I need to prioritize about my home, and keeping the crawlspace and furnace from flooding.
It was backing up pretty damn close to the foundation, and the sump pump is running hard!

(The Pelle thing is great 'eh? I figured that post would stir the pot a bit!)

This is great!!!! As a native boulderite that doesn't live here anymore this is wonderful. Ill make sure to come to the next one, and if there is any motivation to make a meet up of sorts happen up northland in the fort I'd be happy to make this happen!

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
