You can also follow the undercling out right toward the gulley/trough, which protects better than getting to the el whampo thin seam. undercling variation is about 5.7

FYI as of 2015, the two "old" bolts added to the topo is now only one "old" bolt. Pretty confident about this as I did that pitch of El Grandote 3 times last year and it is another slight but fun variation to El Whampo's 3rd pitch

Actually, there are still two bolts. Both crappy, one rusty, one a spinner. One of these days i'll add the photo from climbing the route about 3-4 weeks ago.
