Best Marriage Proposal Location in and around the flatirons??

My sister has asked me (her recreational climbing brother) for advice on a good hike somewhere in the flatirons. My sister is a photographer and has been asked to shoot a marriage proposal.

The client wanted to hike the Royal Arch Trail, but I mentioned that may be too crowded on a weekend...

Any thoughts on cool vista off the beaten path? I am also not totally up to date on wildlife closures ect.

Any advice is extremely appreciated.

Best,

John

Start VERY early in the AM and start from somewhere other than Chautauqua, as that's where the rangers hang out and will want to see the commercial permit, fee, licensing, proof of payments, etc...
There are trailheads at Devils Thumb (Bear Mt Dr) and Cragmore, not to mention NCAR and others...
Lots fewer people.

They could hike in from the upper (west) trailhead near the top of Flagstaff Rd and have a fairly easy 2 mile hike to the summit of Green Mountain. About 90% less people than Royal Arch, which was a CRAZY zoo last weekend!

How about Lost Lake above the town of Eldora? Casual hike in, tons of scenery, can be crowded on the week-end but not so much during the week.

I hope the person proposing is pretty damn sure what the answer will be. Otherwise, it could be a real bummer.

Always true - location doesn't matter on that one.
Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
