Description

A smallish, quarried wall just below the Mhuluguzu dam near Kuchawa. A pretty setting, that stays a bit cooler than lower elevations. The wall is only about 30-40 feet high, and could be done as highball bouldering. Top ropes are easily set up.
access the top of the cliff from the right. Trees and a few old drill bolts and bits provide material for anchors. Long slings are necessary.

Getting There

From the road to Kuchawa, one passes the dam access on the right. A small "gift" to the attendant (a thousand kwacha or so...about 5 dollars) can gain you access and maybe a guided tour of the dam. Alternatively, take the right hand turn at the bend in the road another KM up. The road turns immediately to dirt. follow it down to the 4 way intersection, turn right past the trout farm, and look for a right hand switchback. Follow this road staying always to the right. Pass the dam access and down a steep hill, turn right once the road ends. The wall is on the right.
