Single wall tents in summer

I want to buy a new mountaineering tent, but I would also like to be able to use in in summer as well. I like the idea single wal tents, i have an old garuda tent it vents OK. lShould I give up this pipe dream, I was thinking the BD ahwanee, two massive mesh doors combined with a vestibule seems like it would vent well, and I would never really use to for hardcore alpine stuff where it would get really blasted with wind. Bad idea?? Thoughts? Recommendations?

I have a BD Lighthouse which is similar to the Ahwahnee. They don't make it anymore but it has one giant door on the side that is mesh and a smaller back window. I find it to be perfect for summer use, it ventilates well and doesn't heat up too bad. Has held up very well too.

If they still made the light house I would have probably sprung for it already. From what I understand is its the same design but in their bd fabric

The awanee (sp?) is a bibler made of todtex and is much more waterproof than the lighthouse tent made of epic. I sold my epic tent be because it wasn't waterproof in a bad thunderstorm. My Eldorado (todtex) is great but too warm for summer, but it only has one small door. I am guessing the A would be good for what u want but there a lighter options if u get two tents, one winter and one summer.

The most breathable single wall tent I've ever used was my Rab single wall.

The eVent fabric they use in their shelters resists condensation better than anything else I've tried:

Harpo, I have a direkt 2 but its small and not exactly a summer worthy tent with the small vents and no mesh door. I fell for the hype on super low weight,....mistake for what I do

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
