If they are a church group, pray for them. Jesus will set your warm-up free from the evils of top-rope gangbanging.

Church group gangbangs? Sound as if I need to make it out to KY more often

Church group on all the 5.7s? You may want to hit the gym and push into the .10s. When you do, the lines go down to zero. Also, did you ask to use any of their routes / ropes?

Goddamn those fucking happy christians and their bagged tuna snacks.

Why didn't you stroll on over and axe for burn on the rope. I'm sure someone would have belayed you, and afterwards you could've partaken in the gangbang.

Axing is the best method

First come first serve. Wake up earlier. I worked with a non-profit group that "gang banged" routes in the ice park. Believe me, under most circumstances, the groups know that their taking up good accessible routes from the rest of the people, there's really no other option. Besides, sometimes they are paying or at least acquiring a permit to do so. It sucks, but who are we as a community to deprive certain groups from indulging in our passion. GET UP EARLY GET TO ROUTE FIRST, PROBLEM SOLVED.

What do I have to say? It sucks. "Guides" should pick climbs of appropriate difficulty for their "clients". They still have a right to go climbing, just like you. At least they're friendly. Get up earlier, go somewhere else, climb harder, ask for a ride on their rope. And given that most church group climbers don't really know from classic routes, the 'guides' should find something obscure to gang-bang and get their personal jollies on their off days.

If I'm taking out a group that large I do what I can to stay out of people's way, I bring them to less traveled areas, and with 15-20 kids 4 or 5 ropes is generally enough to keep everyone busy especially if they are new to climbing. I've definitely had times where I've gone out and people are dominating a crag so when I take people out I try to avoid doing that. If you are a good guide, it's easy to get around without taking over the entire crag for yourself.

Any unattended ropes get pulled if I'm there. Not much else you can do.

You should climb routes near them and be an awful person.

Upon getting to the ground, you should loudly yell "Jesus Christ's cum covered tits that was a good route".

Make friends with some of them and proceed to tell them a story about the time you killed a neighbors dog because you thought it might have shit on your lawn.

Tell uncomfortable sexual stories that no-one would want to hear. "My girlfriend thought I was jacking off too much so she made me wear one of those steel cock chastity belts, I didn't really notice most days but when I'd step outside, that thing got cold!"

Also, while less offensive in most places, you are talking about KY so I suggest that you strongly advocate for gay rights and publicly throw your support behind Obama.

They might leave, they might pray for you, but you'll definitely cause as much of a disruption to their day as they caused to yours.

They are going to heaven thanks to Jesus and all so I say kill them. They have top ropes in heaven right?

It annoys all climbers for the most part. Not much to be done about it, at least nothing on the internet.

And yes it annoys the shit out of me. Fact is though they have just as much right to be there as me.

What really gets my goat is guides letting beginner ice climbers top rope and hack away at early season ice or routes that are delicate in general.

OP, when I go as a large group we almost never set on anything hard. It sucks, I agree. Pull their rope and have your second tag it up. Rap off their crappy anchor, everyone wins.

Thank you for the morning pick me up. I like it.

Speaking of etiquette, do not post a video of 2 Live Crew to illustrate what to play at the crag to make the Christian gangbang topropers go away.

Said video will be flagged and deleted.

Videos objectifying women's glutimus maximuses are offensive and wrong. I have learned my lesson.

I'm offended the video is gone, not that it was posted in the first place.

Bunch of friendly folks out climbing? Praise the lord!

Maybe learn how to be friendly and share and you'll fit right in...

If they're actively climbing, good on 'em. That's all any of us can hope for.

As an "actual climber", you can tell them for me, "thanks for being friendly and hope everyone is having a safe, fun day."

Dude, relax.Your beginning to sound like a chick. You could have easily walked over and axed for a belay on ANY of the routes. I damn sure would have, and i'll bet most others on here have too.

eating tuna out of a bag

Did one have long hair and a beard; and feed the group all day out of one small tuna bag? Like a miraculous amount of tuna came out of one small bag?

you want to be friends with that guy, he's kind of a big deal.
