Description Suggest change

An excellent, yet orphaned, granite glacial erratic boulder on the Kenai Peninsula, north west of Homer.

Getting There Suggest change

The Anchor Point Boulder is approximately 16 miles north of Homer, or 200 miles away from Anchorage on the Sterling Highway. Travel to Anchor Point on the Sterling Highway, and turn left(if coming from Anchorage), or right(if coming from Homer), on North Fork Road and park on the right side of the guard rail pull-off of the North Fork River. Walk right, and downhill(and down river...south) for a few(or 20 minutes in the summer, due to Alders) along the river itself, towards the two wood/log houses, until you see a tundra coated(the down climb backside) of the Anchor Point boulder. The climbing is on the southeast and southwest faces. Cross the river and enjoy.
