I recently got an iphone 5, my first smartphone. I'm loving this thing. I figured I'd start a thread to discuss MP's favorite training- and climbing-related apps. What are yours?

I'm really enjoying the interval timer "Seconds Pro" for structuring my training time. So far, I've programmed timers for warming up, hangboarding, and 4x4's. Diggin' it.

I've also been using MyFitnessPal because I'm fat. It's a calorie counter with some nice features. The coolest is that you can scan the barcodes on many foods with your phone to find and log nutrient data. Magic. The barcode database is also surprisingly extensive...it had Stone Arrogant Bastard Ale, of all things.

Any recommendations on a weather app? What do you think of the MP app? Has anybody found a good climbing log and workout planner? I haven't. Anything else?

+1 on the beastmaker app. Thanks for the heads up, that's just what I needed.

Another one for seconds pro. My calorie counter helps me log the food I eat. Climbing coach is another cool app for ios, it has workout routines, logs, and videos.

Beastmaker would be even nicer if you could create pyramid cycles for the "hang" time.

Have you used climbing coach? I'm interested in hearing more about it. Can you customize the workouts or create your own?

Have you looked at the Core Training app from Christian Core? I think its pretty neat. And, whether you agree with his principle and the programs he lays out or not, he has obviously trained himself very effectively....
