Moving to Salt Lake for June, July and looking for partners

I'm going to be doing some research at U Utah for June and July, and would love to get some climbing in during that time. I'm totally new to the area, so suggestions of where to go would also be great. I'm just starting to lead trad, and I lead sport in the 5.10 range. Let me know if you're interested in getting out :)

The U of U has a lot of students and employees who climb. You shouldn't have a problem finding partners once you get here.

Maple Canyon (south of Salt Lake) - great conglomerate/composite rock (lumpy) mostly sport,
Little/Big Cottonwood canyons (Salt Lake) - mixed, some sport, lots of trad easy to hard,
Logan Canyon (northern UT) - full spectrum sport, little trad, limestone rock. All excellent,
Zion NP (southern UT) - Big wall, trad, mostly crack, flagstone rock, scary big but super fun and amazing
Snow Canyon (southern UT) - hot, but also nice and somewhat quiet, flagstone rock
Black Canyon (southern UT) - very hot, sometimes slippery, but also nice and somewhat quiet, basalt rock
Virgin River Gorge (southern UT) - amazing, hard, but excellent climbs,
City of Rocks (southern ID) - weekend get away, camping, climbing trad sport, best place ever! My personal favorite.

Post from "The" was right, very easy to find people to go with and all destinations are so close that it's very easy to climb after work for many hours on most days. Happy climbing!

Hi. I live around the U and am always looking for some more people to climb with around here. I actually climb right around the same levels as well. Hit me up and let's go slay some rocks!

Just moved here myself and NEED to get out. My schedule is really open. I will climb anywhere in the area. I have a basic trad rack and sport gear. Let me know.

Hi everyone, I'm coming out to SLC for work in a few weeks and am looking for a partner. I'd be available to climb 8/5-8/7, and looking to climb pretty much anything. Ideally, after getting in a day together cragging we could head up to Lone Peak? It looks pretty stunning and alpine climbing is my FAVORITE. I have been climbing for 6 years and am comfortable leading trad (to about 5.9 or 10 right now) and sport (up to 10c or 10d ish).

Thanks!

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
