Whats sleep?

I thought my modified Gri-Gri was for rope soloing (unsafely). I had no idea it could be used by a sleepy belayer.

Wait a minuet, Gri-Gri 1 or 2, what pope diameter, are we talking trad or wuss leading.

I've had too much to drink to put anything else together toninght.

Asleep while belaying? That's easy. I fell asleep once while hauling...no b.s. (and no, I don't have narcolepsy).

Last year I had some serious blood sugar crash on chasm view wall and was fighting so hard to stay awake. I realized how dangerous this was getting so I shouted to my partner "Dude, I can barely stay awake. I don't know whats wrong with me." He built an anchor so fucking fast and went off belay. I had to lead the rest of the route. Shit fuck. This sucks. But it happens.

I get pretty tired sometimes on multi-pitch routes when I had to wake up super early and didn't get enough sleep the night before. Never thought climbing and exposure would get so routine that I could fall asleep, but you do get that way eventually.

Nodded off while at a belay rope-soloing a wall in Zion. What does that make me?___Have at it...

I typically bring a long-range tacer with me while leading. That way I can give my belayer a jolt so he/she can stay awake.
