Moving from Michigan to Washington and falling in love with climbing really resonates with me...Also, Party was my first trad lead. Nice video, liked the music.

Cool video, thanks for sharing!

Was that shot with a dslr?

Some stuff that I noticed...
- One shot of tying in would be fine... 3? A little bit excessive I thought. (also, the chalk clap???)
- I would maybe consider including route names and grades when showing the climber going up routes
- Looked like the climber wasn't really pushing her limits on any of those routes? I think it is always fun to watch climbers climb at their max... When I watch someone sending something that is just at their limit, I find myself almost a part of it. I shake every time they shake, my palms get sweaty watching them grip that tiny crimper, and I love the excitement on their face when they reach the top.

Anyways, nice video and thanks for sharing. I always love watching climbing videos!

Great footage, some of the best I've seen lately. Keep it coming!

Whoa! So you're telling me that routes UNDER 5.13 or V12 can be shown on video and still look rad? Go figure. Honestly, it was a good video. It reminds me that the majority of climbers don't send crazy hard numbers and still have a great time just being outside and doing what they love.
Nice work!

It's fun to see a video of local climbs that I've done. I'd recommend wearing a helmet at Vantage, even on sport climbs. There is a lot of loose rock there.

The shifts between hiking in to the sunshine wall and then suddenly climbing at world wall 1 were a little wierd.

Awesome job! Great editing work too.

My only criticism is in the blatant overuse of shallow depth of field. It has its artistic place, but not every shot needs a wide-open aperture . Many of the scenes would have been more aesthetic and interesting with a bit more in focus. I have to admit, I'm more of a photographer than a filmmaker so take that feedback for what it's worth.

Thanks for sharing, and please share any others you produce. I look forward to them.

Thought the same thing. I went "whoa, Vantage was NEVER that green. Oh - now we're at Si"

Nice videography. Having a hot chick in a sports bra always helps. My only suggestion is you could have had a little more climbing and less sitting around the campground.

The bouldering video is not nearly as well done. Looks like a hundred other bouldering videos.

IMHO

Overall I thought it was a cool story. More work to get top down climbing shots would make it better but I enjoyed it.

I fast forwarded through the talking and did pull-ups with the other 12 minutes.

Agreed. Very enjoyable vid, but def needs more climbing and less shots of her racking up. She only got on 1 trad route and had a big pile of gear she kept sorting. If you want to market to non-climbers that's fine, but for the rest of us we already know what a rack looks like.

It was shot very well though and was overall very nicely done.

I think the vids are really impressive! Great shots, diff angles, not JUST climbing - but also surrounding scenery, gearing up, racking up, etc. I think your video photographer has some real talent and you guys ought to think about releasing a commercial DVD for the public.

You're def in great physical condition, climb well, and sure make it enjoyable and interesting to watch you and your partner(s) climb.

Nicely done - no complaints here - just good solid video's!

Keep them coming. One get's tired of constantly hearing and seeing vids and pics of JUST 'Sharma!' Just kidding - Sharma is an impressive climber for sure - but as we know = talented climbers come and go each year - and sometimes the climbing sector forgets that there were other 'hero's' as well that were great climbers too such as Chouinard, Buchar, Kor, Robbins, Messner, Kor, Kurtz and Hinterstoisser, etc. It's nice to see some 'non famous' climbers doing their thing as well...

Just sayin'....

Nice vid Trevor. Can I ask what artist was the music from right after the 'ant' scene? Great stuff!

Great stuff! Probably one of the better uses of the song "Breathe". I agree with a few others were there may have been a few too many introduction shallow DOF shots.. however I never got sick of looking at them either so I understand!

One other thing that threw me off was the clip showing her pull the rope with the gear up. Though we know there is someone else with her, the video is focused on her experience climbing so that shot kind of detracts away from this theme as we now know she is about to pull belay duty for the other dude. Had the next shot been the two commingling or the man beginning to climb while she discusses the idea of friendships in climbing I think it would had been better.. or just change the shot to her cleaning or rapping (maybe a quick sped up clip of the rap down). All in and all though.. this is the only thing I felt I could rant about!

Keep it coming!

Also.. what equipment where you working with for this. Lens/Body etc...

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
