To my fellow outdoor crazies,

June 4th, I will be setting out on a solo bike tour across the country with a few nice cameras and my dad's old 80's mountain bike. This ride is going to be taking me to some of the most amazing places in this country. Places like Glacier, The Grand Tetons, Zion, The Grand Canyon and countless others. The trip will be over 5000 miles and take over 3 months. (give or take a month or two)

At 21 yrs old, I've found a great passion in getting others excited and involved in doing great things. I'll be documenting just how much one person can accomplish with the support of their fellow man (or woman). The cameras will be pointed at all the amazing people I will meet along the way, as well as be along for all the side trips, climbs, summits and completely random happenings that make doing a crazy trip like this and living the climbing lifestyle all worth while.

I am humbly asking for your support in any way possible. This doesn't just mean money... I want more than anything to get as many people involved and in this documentary as possible. Support could include a place to stay along the way if I'll be in your neck of the woods at some point, giving suggestions of great places to go that have been inspiring to you already, simply showing me around your town and introducing me to all of your climbing bum friends!

I've posted a route map for the tour on the donations page, so if nothing else just feel free to just take a look at that and see where I'll be heading. If you have any questions of comments or just want to BS about doing awesome stuff, don't hesitate! I'd love to hear from you!

SO... to wrap this up, I'll include a link to a donations page below this where you can send me a little spare change to keep the jetboil going and the headlamps on. Any support you can give is deeply appreciated.

Here is a link to the support page - Support "Living Your Passion"

you can also email me at erikonabike@gmail.com

Thank you all so much, Cheers!

Erik

You should post something up at bikepacking.net/

If you find yourself as far south as Tucson shoot me a message I would be happy to give you a place to crash for a day or two.

Oh and there's no link that I can see.

Fixed the link Tim, thanks for looking out. I'll keep ya in the books for Tuscon!

Also, my apologies for the multiple posts. Didn't realize all the forums were connected in such a way. Just trying to create some awareness.

I go on crazy trips all the time, but I don't ask for money. That being said, if you roll through Boulder, you've got some beers, dinner, and a couch to sleep on if you wish.

Hey Erik,

Let me know if you need a place to stay in Bozeman, Montana. Tons of inspiring pursuits around the area.

Cheers,

Kyle

Much appreciated from both of you! I'll add you to the "dirtbag address book" haha.

By The Way - if any one reading this would like to join me on the journey at any point for a few days ride or how ever long you want, I'm always looking to make a new friends on the road! just let me know.

Sounds like a blast buddy. If you get disoriented in your first 30 miles or so and head east rather than west, my door is always open.

Haha much appreciated Jason.. It wouldn't be the first time I've managed to get lost on a tour.

I am usually the same way. This will be the first time I've ever asked for support of any kind. I guess I haven't been clear enough in my description that I'm really more asking for support to help with the cost of producing the actual film ie... editing, hardwear, softwear, ect. not necessarily the trip if that makes sense?

Anyways, I appreciate the good wishes from you both; and Richard I'll put you in the address book my friend! Thanks for the hospitality.

I love these kinds of things, wish I had the time or will power to do something like it. If you come through Knoxville, TN I'll buy you dinner and give you a place to crash

Thanks Evan, Its always a great thing when life allows you to go out and do something like this! I'm just taking advantage :) I must say my chances of roll thing through TN are slim, but if I ever do.. Your name will be in the books! If you have any travel plans of your own that would ever bring you west, I would be happy to reciprocate the offer of a beer, some chow and a place to stay.

Have a great start to the summer!

Thanks Paul, Sent you a pm about your contact info.

John, I've been using a site called "GoFundMe" very similar to kickstarter I believe.. but maybe you know something I don't?

Thanks for looking out!

If for some strange reason you happen to roll through Conway, AR you can probably crash at my place.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
