What if you are a diagnosed psychopath and need medication to function normally then you enter a climbing comp and you need your meds. Is it cheating?

And, if the answer to that is no, what about if you're an undiagnosed psychopath and need self-medication to function normally then you enter a climbing comp? Or mis-diagnosed? Where do you draw the line?

p.s. These kinds of threads always make me think of this: mountainproject.com/v/could…

#35 the mind of the psychopath

The blonde guy seemed to think he was gonna talk everybody into thinking he was perfectly normal; pretty typical for a psycho/sociopath I guess.

Have a feeling the OP may not have the attention span to actually sit through the thing though. :-)

Completely ignoring your moniker "sociopath" and the "definition" given, which I think lacks depth of understanding of the disorder, let me address the question that you appeared to try to ask:

"Would someone who lacked fear or distress solo harder than most."

The answer on my part is that I doubt it. I imagine that they'd get hurt before they got very good at it or developed the judgement to know their limits.

It's like asking if a 3 year old or a chimp would be quicker in crossing the downtown streets of Taipei because they didn't understand the traffic. Maybe for a time or two... yes. And then the fun would be over.

I think sociopaths since they lack the whole guilt thing would make better climbing partners cos they would not cut the climbing days short cos they feel guilty to miss a family dinner

Does she climb with her stomp?

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
