Looks like this leader will not get the clean "red point" send due to the grabbing of that quickdraw. It's a pity because he was looking pretty solid up until then.

Good picture of the crux section. This is actually about 5.8-minus because there are 4 or 5 different ways to climb the section from where the climber is standing to the point about 8 feet above his head where the going gets much easier. Climbing is on numerous pebbles and small water rounded cobbles welded into the sandstone conglomerate. The direct route is more to the right. You could climb this route a different way every time using the same bolts.
