Warning Access Issue: Seasonal Raptor Closures DetailsDrop down

Description Suggest change

Kind of a steep start. I thought the crux was between the first and second bolt.

After the sixth bolt there are some small cracks. Either place some pro here and head up over the "summit block" (5.7) variation to the anchors (bolts with rings) or traverse right (5.6).

Location Suggest change

First bolted route to the right of Rat Race.

Descend by rappel.

Protection Suggest change

Six bolts (counting intermediate two-bolt anchor as a bolt; bolts meander a bit so longer draws are helpful to reduce friction). Plus cams in the 0.5 - 0.7" range if taking the 5.7 "summit block" variation. Two bolt anchor with quicklinks (no rappel rings or hooks) at top (can walk-off from or access other high-up anchors like Rat Race from here).
