New to CO, got a couple weeks off, need a climbing partner

So I just moved to the Denver area and am in need of a climbing partner(s). My name is Nick, I'm 26, and very laid back. At the moment I'm living out of my car, tent, and some friend's couches in between (though I'm not truly a bum). Anyway, I know the basics, am in good shape, have some gear and want to get out. Looks like I have a couple weeks off between jobs so am down to travel around. Hit me up. 540.336.6195

What type of climbing are you looking at doing?

I'm mostly familiar with sport. I'd like to do some leading but need to practice. The trad I've done in the past has been primarily cleaning the routes. So basically I'm up for anything, just not an expert by any means.

I recommend updating your profile information to include your ability levels, and if you tick a few climbs that helps folks know what kind of climber they are likely to encounter.

Leading is a lot different from seconding, so make sure you understand that before you get in over your head.

cheers.

+1 to previous comments. Being vague will likely result in fewer replies. While climbing for me certainly isn't all about grades, it is helpful to know where other potential partners are coming from.

What does it mean to say you know the basics? What is "some gear?"

I would recommend a post more like:
I can lead 5.x sport and follow up to 5.y. I have followed and cleaned trad lines up to 5.z (and could lead up to 5.q?). I have all personal gear along with a (rope, quickdraws, small trad rack, etc.).

I remember when I first moved to Boulder I was talking to a guy at Neptunes and mentioned I wanted to do some intermediate type stuff... he suggested several 5.12 trad lines, which is when I realized I needed to be way more specific. People have very different ideas of what intermediate, basic, etc. mean.

That being said, depending on what you want to do, I'm looking for more partners starting in the middle of October (10/14 ish).

Thanks for the replies and advice. Hopefully some of the info below helps clarify where I'm coming from:
-Basically I'm a beginner looking to get out and learn. All of the climbing I've done has been with friends on the east coast who had the gear and knowledge.
-I know how to belay safely, can follow up to 5.9ish sport. I've led a few bolted 5.7s but need a refresher on the top rope setup.
-Very minimal trad experience, went out once and followed/cleaned some 5.7s/5.8s at Seneca Rocks in WV.
-As far as gear, I have a harness, belay device, shoes, like new rope (just picked it up from a friend) and some webbing.
-I'm not totally wet behind the ears but definitely have a lot to learn, so I hope anyone who replies doesn't mind me asking lots of questions.

Thanks again for any replies.

I could get out with you sometime -- I know what I'm doing even though I'm not particularly good at it. There are a couple of local "meetup.com" climbing groups you might try too; they tend to have more enthusiasm than experience, but usually have a few attendees who know what they are doing.

Hey man. I'm up for climbing anytime. I'm a beginner also. I just started leading in the gym and itching to get outside. I have a rope, quickdraws, slings, and some chocks. I've done some climbing outside on toprope. In the gym I can lead 5.10 (I know it's not the same as outside) and have top roped 5.10d outside.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
