I have been blessed with a couple of days of delightful south swell.
The waves were shoulder to head high with little or no wind,in a dynamic Maui setting with lots of aloha from the few surfers that were out. It's great when you get enough waves that you're satisfied after two hours. Warm clear water, no wet suites, friendly people and gorgeous babes in the tiniest bikinis.
Now I am off to the mainland for a few weeks to do some rock climbing among other things. I am very stoked to do some Eldorado and South Platte classics with old and new friends.

I just returned to Maui after a great trip to the mainland.
That trip was filled with visiting and sharing past adventures with many old friends from various stages of my life.
I had a chance to spend some quality time at my house in Bear Creek Canyon and that was awesome.
I had intended to do a lot more climbing especially in Eldorado but that didn't happen on this trip.
I did get join my old core group of climbing partners up at Mount Evens for 10 great pitches over two brilliant days of cragging in the high country. Cheers to to Jerry,Steve,Noel, and Strappo.
The day after I got back to Maui the first north swell of the season arrived. It was delightfully windy and I wave sailed 5.0m with logo + waves for two days. I can't describe how much fun it was to be ripping on substantial waves at my favorite sailing spot with most of our regular crew in attendance.
The last two days have been some of the best late season south swell that I can remember and today looks promising as well.
I could complain about not having enough work, but?
