Warning Access Issue: Hwy 33 Road Closure DetailsDrop down

Description Suggest change

A group of 4-5 unique and varied boulders scattered along a dry riverbed, found at about mile 33 on Hwy 33. The Munson boulders exhibit everything from dynamic power moves to steep slab and arete climbing. The sandstone isn't bombproof in some areas, but there is more than enough solid rock to check this place out. You can't see a trail from the road, but you just walk through the knee deep brush and enter into this little nook of the Munson Boulders.

Due to their proximity to the road and nearby swimming holes, these boulders should probably see more traffic, but as of yet they do not. Worth checking out to the motivated climber.

Getting There Suggest change

Take Hwy 33 north from Ojai Pull into a turn-out on you right at mile marker 33.62. Boulders are seconds from the road.
